The book chain

Ever wondered how a book would turn out if 10 people wrote its story? Well today we're going to find out! Let's practise our writing skills with this fun game: the book chain!

In order, and one at a time, you will write one small paragraph (30 - 40 words) for each story below. When you finish with one, go to the next one until you've added your part in all of them. At the end, we will read them out loud together and see what outrageous story you've comed up with!

Please bear in mind that a story has to have 3 parts:
1. Beginning: introduction of the story, characters, setting...
2. Middle: a problem arises and how the characters try to solve it.
3. End: how the problem is solved.

Let's go!

  1. Hello Guille! I love this activity! I think it is a really good idea to practise our writing skills and, at the same time, to have fun, because it could be very funny!
However, it could be a little bit difficult for some students... it depends on their different levels of English...
Anyway, congrats! I like your blog, and in my opinion, this one is the best activity, although all of them seem interesting.

  2. Hello !
This task seems so original and i will use in class with my pupils. It is a good way to practice writing skills and spend a good time while students are working.
It is also useful to learn three different parts in a story and to write it, in an organized way.
thank you for the task, it is interesting!
